Songwriter Michael Franks has just released his 18th studio album, Time Together, a delectable blend of gentle melodies and clever wordplay - both signatures of Franks' almost 40-year career.  Icon Fetch talks to the jazz singer about the long, five-year gap between recordings, reuniting with some old friends, and Hearts United for Animals, a charity he supports.

He is sooo humble, that is probably why he's have this many years in the biz. I would like to get his book of 'poetry' probably would make a great gift.

Chris, I just listened to it straight through on the embedded player. No problems, the show was complete. Did you download the MP3 file? If so, then maybe your download was incomplete. That happens sometimes with large file transfers.

Just discovered Michaels music a month ago,, bought 3 cd's,, time together, greatest hits & barefoot on the beach,I can't get enough of his music. Did he release a dvd of any concert,, I would love to buy one.. I can't believe I never heard of him before,I am 54 now..

Thanks for stopping by. I'm not aware of a Michael Franks DVD. I checked around and couldn't find one. However, I'll keep my eyes open and I'll let you know if I find anything.
